WOMEN FARMER GROUP^S MOTIVATION IN CHILLI PROCESSING, IN TRIHANGGO VILLAGE, GAMPING, SLEMAN REGENCY

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of motivation of farmers in chili processing in women^s farmer groups in terms of physiological motivation, sociological motivation, and self-actualization motivation in Trihanggo Village, Kapanewon Gamping, Sleman Regency. This study was conducted from February 2021 to July 2021. The research used descriptive research method with variable measurement using a Likert scale with samples determined by Proportional Random Sampling, as many as 30 respondents. The collecting data methods were interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The results of the study showed that the physiological motivation variable was 64.89% in the medium category, the sociological motivation variable was 75.22% in the medium category, and the self-actualization motivation variable was 68, 56% with moderate category. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the motivation of farmers in chili processing in the women farmer group is known to be 69.52% in the medium category. The design of empowerment in this study is the Innovation of Chilli Shredded Processing with Addition of Flavor Variants.
