Abstract

Cultivation of vegetable on hydroponics system is able to be increase vegetable yield. with high quantity and quality. The growth and production plan of hydroponic system are influenced by various factors such as temperature, humidity, light and nutrients. This research aims to design and create an arduino uno-based automatic lighting system to regulate light emitting diode (LED) lighting at plant factories and observe the growth of pakcoy plants on hydroponic floating system. The research was conducted in two stages, the first stage is to design and realize a control system that can regulate the intensistas and the time of LED illumination. The system was created using the Arduino as the primary controller. The data of the height and duration of led light was displayed on the LCD pad for the TYPE of LED used was led light in the form of a block of LED circuit consisting of several LEDs, In the second phase was, to determine the growth response of pakcoy to the intensity of light and the duration of illumination. The research design used is Nested Plot Design factorial which consists of two treatments, namely light intensity (J) and duration of illumination (P).Light intensity treatment was performed by adjusting the distance (height) between the light source and the surface of the floating planting media, which consists of three levels: 30 cm (J1), 50 cm (J2) and 70 cm (J3). The treatment of the duration of the irradiation is carried out by setting the length of the irradiation time, which consists of two levels: the length of a normal day (12 hours, P1) and the addition of the length of the day (16 hours, P2). Each treatment is repeated three times. Observed changes include plant growth (plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, root length, and plant weight), leaf color, and crop harvest weight. Observations on plant growth are carried out periodically. The collected data is analyzed using variety analysis and relationship analysis between chang
