Abstract

This article is a small part of the results of Terubuk^s research (Saccharum edule Hasskarl) which has been carried out from 2016 to 2020 with various methods in Sukabumi Regency, West Java. Terubuk is one of so many plants found in Sukabumi Regency. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the ultimate economic potential of the various studies that have been carried out. The results showed that terubuk is a vegetable crop that has economic potential in increasing farmers^ income. Terubuk is not a popular commodity and is not widely known by the public. Even so, with its economic potential, it is feasible to be developed by farmers as a commodity that is cultivated either in monoculture, intercropping, or integrated with livestock. The added value of the ultimate farm is not only from the flowers as vegetables that can be consumed, but also from the utilization of other plant parts that can be used for animal feed and compost. As a potential source of vegetables, well-managed farm development will provide added value for farmers or ranchers.
